The newest addition to the Wakeup concept is Wakeup Bernstorffsgade. This eleven-story building is newly renovated and is now housing 581 new hotel rooms. The hotel is located close to the Copenhagen Central Station, Tivoli Garden and the old city center.
We have explored the Wakeup concept yet again – and this time we have had the opportunity to design the top floor as a rooftop breakfast restaurant. The exquisite view surrounds the entire restaurant. Large window sections make the cityscape visible to the guests, and the seating area layout is focused towards smaller divisions of the big space and creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere with a lot of greenery and plants.
The ground floor includes the lobby, self-check in station, café, lounge area and an additional seating area for flexible use during the day. Slat walls divide the elongated space. The slats filter the space and the wooden structure creates depth and warmth.
As always, the fresh green color and the continuity of materials from the other Wakeup hotels are used throughout the hotel, and ties everything together.
