71 Nyhavn Hotel
This hotel consists of two old storage buildings from 1804 and 1830. In collaboration with Bente Lange, the preservation of the hotel was done, with respect to the old buildings.
It is now transformed into a modern hotel, which evolved through the Scandinavian tradition and context. It is located on the corner of Nyhavn and the canal of Copenhagen. The hotel has a subtle but recognizable appearance at the waterfront.
The lobby area is not only a reception, but a place to sit and relax. Lounge chairs and sofas sporadically occupy the space.
In the rooms you have the blue skylight, that is reflected in the harbor, and creates a Nordic atmosphere. The materials are oak, cognac leather and woven fabrics. All surrounded by new and old Danish design classics such as Arne Jacobsen’s Swan and Grand Prix chair – and Space Copenhagen’s Fly sofa.
