Imperial Hotel
Imperial Hotel is located in the center of the pulsing city, neighboring Copenhagen Central Station, the Tivoli Garden and the lakes of Copenhagen. Everything is no more than a few minutes away.
The building was built by the modernistic Danish architect Otto Frankild – and was finished in 1961. The Imperial Hotel is today a luxurious 4-star hotel. The ambiance is kept modern and relates to the exterior of the building. The latest renovated rooms have references to New York in the 60’s. The atmosphere is delicate and minimal, but with dark wood, that corresponds to the time and reminiscence of the building. The furniture was chosen with a desire not to categorize the interior as something that has already been, but rather extend the repertoire in the hotel and look ahead. With a darker color scheme, experimenting with patterns and textures, the interior is playing with the contemporary feel of a building, that has a very distinct architectural appearance
The lobby, reception and PC-Easy station are reaching for a setting, that makes the visitor feel comfortable and relaxed. It is possible to have some time to yourself in front of the fireplace in the lounge, or use it for an informal meeting. The common areas are inspired by Asian minimalism with a modernistic twist.
Latest addition to Imperial Hotel is the breakfast restaurant and the lobby area. For the breakfast restaurant we worked around two tall trees, which reaches towards the skylight window sections. It’s creating the immanent relation between the inside and the outside.
